Never FORGET your SMILE, you HAVE
Little Me: “Hey… why are you so quiet today?”
Me: “Nothing big… just a normal day. Not good, not bad. Just a little tired.”
Little Me: “Tired? But you used to run all day with one slipper, fall down, cry for two minutes… and then start running again.” 😂
Me: “Haha… yes, those days were different.”
Little Me: “Different? You were happy with a pencil box, a car, a ride on dad's bike, and a piece of chocolate that you after fighting with your sibling. Now you have more things, but why do you carry more worries?”
Me: “Because life became bigger.”
Little Me: “Maybe life became bigger… but did your smile become smaller?”
Me: “I think I forgot how to smile like you.”
Little Me: “No, you didn’t forget. You just buried it under responsibilities. I’m still here.” 😊
Me: “Where were you all this time?”
Little Me: “I was inside every laugh you shared, every person you helped, every time you chose kindness when life was difficult.”
Me: “You know… I miss those simple days.”
Little Me: “Then visit them sometimes. Remember how the rain was a reason to play, not a reason to complain. How a small gift felt like a treasure. How forgiveness came before sunset because tomorrow we needed our friends to play again.”
Me: “You sound wiser than me.”
Little Me: “Because I trusted God more. I didn’t worry about tomorrow. I just believed someone bigger was taking care of me.”
Me: “Maybe that’s what Jesus meant when He said we should become like little children.”
Little Me: “Exactly. Not to become childish… but to have a heart that trusts, loves, forgives, and finds joy in small blessings.”
Me: “Thank you for reminding me.”
Little Me: “One more thing…”
Me: “What?”
Little Me: “Smile today. Someone might need your smile more than you know.” 😊
Me: “Promise.”
Little Me: “Good. Now come on… let’s find some chocolate. I know you still like it.” 😂🍫
Sometimes God doesn’t bring back our childhood to make us live in the past… He brings it back to remind us how beautifully simple joy was always meant to be. ✨
